  • Tutor students in reading – decoding, spelling, comprehension and writing.

  • Teach Level I CRISS Classes to teachers and undergraduates. www.projectcriss.com 
  • Conduct staff development reading workshops in various school districts.


Special Education Team Facilitator, Special Education Services Team,  2001–10

  • Longfellow Elementary School (Oak Park IL District #97)
  • Facilitate Special Education Eligibility and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings. 
  • Member of School Leadership Team 
  • Served on parent-teacher school advisory committee.
  • Retired from Oak Park District 97, June, 2010.


Language Arts / Reading Specialist, 1991–2010

  • Longfellow Elementary School (Oak Park IL District #97)
  • Implemented school-wide reading intervention/enrichment program. 
  • Coordinated and instructed reading and writing, school-wide.

  • Tutored first-grade students  in the "Early Intervention Reading Program" a Reading Recovery-type program.
